1. Introduction

Liberty Lane Innovations (“we,” “us,” or “our”) built TeamRides to help sports families organize carpools quickly and safely. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the TeamRides mobile application, how we use and store it, and the choices you have over your data.

2. Who Uses TeamRides

TeamRides accounts are created by adults (13 or older). Children and players are listed within a parent or guardian’s account as passengers — they do not create accounts of their own, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information without a parent’s knowledge, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

3. Information We Collect

3a. Account & Sign-In Information

When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the following from that identity provider:

• Your name and email address
• A unique identifier issued by Google or Apple that links your account across sessions
• Profile photo (if your provider shares one)

We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password. Sign-in credentials are managed entirely by Google (see Google Privacy Policy) or Apple (see Apple Privacy Policy).

3b. Family & Carpool Data

To organize carpools, you provide information about your family and team. This may include:

• First names of players or children in your carpool group
• Pick-up and drop-off addresses or general area (e.g., neighborhood)
• Practice and game schedules
• Team name, sport, and age group
• Contact information you choose to share with other carpool members (e.g., phone number)

This data is shared only with other members of your specific carpool group and is not sold or shared with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

3c. Firebase & Firestore Data

TeamRides is built on Google Firebase, a cloud platform. Your account and carpool data are stored in Firebase Firestore (Google’s cloud database) and synced in real time across devices. Firebase also powers our authentication layer. Data stored in Firestore is encrypted at rest and in transit. We may also use Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous diagnostic data (crash reports, feature usage statistics) to help us fix bugs and improve the app. This data does not identify you personally.

3d. In-App Purchase Data

TeamRides offers optional paid features through Apple App Store (StoreKit) and Google Play In-App Billing. When you make a purchase:

• Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see or store your full credit card number, billing address, or other payment card details.
• We receive a purchase receipt or token from Apple or Google confirming the transaction, which we use to unlock features in your account.
• Purchase records (e.g., subscription status and expiration) are stored in Firestore linked to your account.

4. How We Use Your Information

• Create and manage your TeamRides account
• Facilitate carpool matching and coordination within your team group
• Process and verify in-app purchases and subscription status
• Send transactional notifications (e.g., carpool confirmations, schedule changes)
• Diagnose crashes and improve app performance using anonymous analytics
• Respond to support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Within your carpool group: Members of a carpool group you join can see the contact and schedule information you’ve added to that group.
• Google Firebase: Our cloud infrastructure provider, which stores and syncs your data. Google’s data processing terms apply.
• Apple / Google (IAP): To process purchases, as described above.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users.

6. Children’s Privacy

TeamRides is designed for parents and adult guardians. All accounts must be created by someone 13 or older. Player and child names entered into the app are managed by the account holder (a parent or guardian) and are used solely to facilitate carpool coordination. We do not use children’s information for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose beyond organizing the carpool.

If you are a parent and believe your child’s personal information has been collected outside of your account without your consent, contact us at support@libertylaneinnovations.com and we will remove it.

7. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Google Firebase data centers and protected by Google’s enterprise security infrastructure, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). We implement access controls so that only your account and members of your explicit carpool groups can view your data.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your TeamRides account at any time from within the app:

1. Open the app and go to Settings
2. Tap Account
3. Tap Delete Account and confirm

Deleting your account will permanently remove your profile, carpool history, and associated family/player data from our systems within 30 days. Purchase history records may be retained for up to 90 days as required for financial compliance. Anonymous crash and analytics data, which cannot be linked back to you, may be retained in aggregate form.

If you have trouble deleting your account in-app, email us at support@libertylaneinnovations.com and we will delete it manually within 7 business days.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If your account is inactive for 24 consecutive months, we may contact you before removing it. You may also request deletion at any time as described above.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to request a copy of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@libertylaneinnovations.com. We will respond within 30 days.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top and notify you via the app or email if the changes are material. Continued use of TeamRides after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
